Our Mission
Close to two markets: Richmond & Lynchburg. Farm to market for organic vegetables, mushrooms, chickens, eggs, flowers, beekeeping, firewood, etc. Organic since 1989. Irrigated vegetable garden enhanced with rotted horse manure, abundant pumped water from the spring-fed lake & 2000~ gallon water cachement. Grid connected 20KW solar and 20KW battery with EV charger. Large house with two full walkout apartments. Possible 3 more apartments with private entrances. We have all equipment needed. Will train/mentor a viable candidate. Skills needed: mechanical interest, basic carpentry, life skills (people), curiosity, Willing to listen/learn. No vices.
Our Story
LTG Samuel V. Wilson bought the farm in the 1960s. Current occupant arrived in 1989. Been on consecutive CRPs & soil building since ~1989. Have cropped for many years, run beehives, donated & sold vegetables, etc. Currently for sale. If it doesn’t sell asap, we’ll need to transition to a rental situation. Proceeds are for our disabled daughter’s care.
